Off on our own today …

Grab used for first time in Vietnam … almost a disaster .. panicked and tried to cancel it at the last minute as the driver arrived … luckily we sorted paying by card .

The cable car - wonderful views, ending in another tacky water park courtesy of sun world on Hon Thom! So much construction ruining a beautiful island , quite sad really . Took in the beach for a while

So many houses which have been constructed , all empty at the start of the cable car . Not sure who they thought would buy them but the marketing has clearly failed .. it’s like the zombies have been …

Hassled endlessly by taxi drivers on arriving back on the cable car

Another grab to see Phu Quoc prison , oh my, the cruelty that went on, and relatively recently … truly awful.

A little stroll to a fish sauce factory … my nostrils will never be the same !

Another grab to see Ham Ninh, very authentic fishing village . So many fish and seafood for sale and sadly seahorses too , which broke my heart !

Dearly wanted to see them snorkelling alive and free . Sadly only harbour here so no chance of taking a look.

Headed back to the hotel for a quick dip in the sea and a beer . A lovely hotpot and a cocktail ended our last evening on Phu Quoc .
