Real adventure at the Dark Cave was on the cards today but I think I imagined a warmer climate … today we braved the elements and zip lined along a huge river wearing only swimming costumes and a life jacket !! Amazing! Plunging into the icy ( not quite) waters we swam for the cave ( we were told eels, spiders and snakes within ! ) Inside was beautiful , The mud bath at the end swallowed my legs a few times ! And to leave the cave some army tactics were adopted and the reason for wearing hard hats evident ! Another session if kayaking and we surely don’t improve on this apart from perfecting our circling techniques ! After lunch we alighted a boat in the misty rain and floated into the Pharm Nha caves , the hospital during the Vietnam war and the bombing was evident . The size of this cave is mind blowing
