I heard Saigon had more bikes than Hanoi, not sure if that was true. The city has bigger roads and a lot of traffic lights, so is easier to cross the road. Saigon is the biggest city in Vietnam, so probably does have more vehicles, but didn't have that chaotic cramped feeling Hanoi had. Stayed in the backpacker district which is good, but the prices are higher than in other areas of the city. Throughout our travels in Vietnam we have been subjected to tourist prices when the locals have there own separate price. I always wanted to go to a restaurant with a local and see if they get different priced menu's.

Well first day I headed to the Reunification palace, which was a bit boring as they just showed you rooms of where the president does this, the vice president does this. The palace was newly built and has a strange look to it. Apparently it is to have sunlight in the whole building where ever the sun is. Headed to the war museum, which is really an attack on the USA and the things they did. Didn't really spend enough time there, got a bit fed up of reading, but it should the effects of the chemical weapons the states used Dioxin also known as agent orange. They show the new born kids with dysfunctional bodies and there were pictures of children born in the 90's.

Went to the Chu chi tunnel and this is where my camera stopped working (lens error) so no pictures unfortunately, but the place felt like it showed the real Vietnam in the war. Weapons and traps they used to kill the Americans and the tunnels itself which are pretty small. I didn't walk far due to my inflexible body, it was giving me a bad back crouching over and it also had the claustrophobic element to it.
