So now the parasite has gone and im no longer putting people off their breakfast (that would be you steve) the holiday can cpntinue and Hiral can hang up her florence nightingale coat.

We had a nice long Friday morning lie in, as im still in recovery then we ventured out into Saigon. We found this really cool park that has what you could sort of call gym in the centre. Its basically iron gym equipment that the locals seem to just jump on and use. I will upload a pic eventually, you have to see it to really understand just how weird it is. How they can do any exercise in this heat is crazy, Hiral and I nearly dies of heat stroke just walking to the park. Further along there was a man walking his dog, complete with matching t-shirts, kiddies playing with this feather thing they kick in the air, PE lessons and a manicure lady who told me im old, but its ok, i have a baby face. She liked Hiral, apparently she looks like her long lost friend.

In the evening we took a stroll and Hiral had a beer on the street (im still not allowed, boo). We came across some stereotypical asian sights ie bars with prostitutes and guess what kind of men filled the place, thats right- white, fat, old British men- nice! That has to be one of the most commen sights in SE Asia, lots of old fatties with young, especially tiny Asian women. Id like to rescue them all.

Today was awesome! We took a tour of the Cu Chi tunnels which is a village that built underground tunnels during the French invasion. The tunnels were absolutley tiny, the entrance was 40cm by 60cm and we got to go inside! Being as small as i am i was able to squat and scurry through the tunnels, poor Hiral had to crawl. The guy in front of me had to wriggle like a worm to get through lol, i even got to toucvh his leg. We got to see their old war tanks, how they made their weapons and the sort of traps they would set down for the American soldiers. It was a really interesting and fun day. Of course it wouldnt have been the same without our tour guide whose name was DUK but pronounced DIK. He was so cute, his English was nuts but he did a good job, even provided us with some tea and boiled cassava 😊

Off to relax with a movie and some cake now- off to the Mekong Delta tomorrow.

Dont be too jealous!
