So the fishing village and pottery village was great! I took a motorbike with Joe and we followed Mr Trung to just about 3km outside of the town. We walked around a bit and saw how some of the locals live. They all sell their products out on the street from crafts to market foods. It's hard to believe that meat is sitting outside all day and wide open in 90+ degree heat! We went on a little ride on one of the rivers to a spot for fishing. We also created little bowls on the pottery wheel from freshly made clay....we didnt get to keep them, since it takes a few days in the firewood-run kiln to harden.

Rach spent her morning relaxing by the pool, soaking up the rays, while finishing her book, "Eat, Pray, Love." Then, around noon, we met up with my Aunt Shelia's best friend from childhood who is living in Danang for four months and teaching English. She treated us to lunch at a great little restaurant along the river. After sweating out our lunch, we headed back to the hotel for some more sun. I took a dip in the ocean which was so nice and refreshing!

We freshened up later to meet up with Joe for an evening of drinking. We went to the same bar I went to a couple nights back with him and Erin where we played pool and met some British charachters named Kenyan and Paul (maybe Pete). They were pretty drunk when we met them and only added to the entertainment value. Kenyan loved Keanu Reaves and so much so he put a quote from the movie Bill & Ted's Excellent adventure on his chest. The tatoo read: "Be Excellent to Each Other." WOAH

After much pool playing, foos ball, and drinking, Rach headed home and a few of us went out for about an hour longer. Overall, it was a fun night and great to hang out with other travelers....Rach was able to get up for her tai chi class the next morning at 7:30am on the beach, while I got some more much needed sleep.

We spent our last day in Hoi An at the pool under an umbrella as the heat was unbearable...nearly everyone was in the shade! Later in the day we went for additional spa services...massage, facial and haircut...before we took an hour flight to Saigon/Ho Chi Minh City later that night
