Two beers, one lost key and passport please

We're only staying in Quy Nhon one night even though we promised ourselves we would stay two nights minimum for the kids sake.

Some how we lost the key to our room. Stressful at first but funny in the end as everyone was to blame. The hardest part was trying to explain we lost the key to reception. After trying to explain in English along with my best sign language, a thought popped in to my head. What about google translate? I typed it in and converted my question from English to Vietnamese. Viola, it worked.

So from then on every question we could think of in advance we asked google translate then took a screen shot so we could use it later when I didn't have internet connection. See photos for some of our questions.

After the morning coffee we decided to try our luck finding a beach for swimming with food options close by. I showed the taxi driver the translated question for beach and food and off we went. He dropped us at a cafe with pool by the beach, the perfect place to while away a few hours with kids and bags!
Agus had a ball moving between pool, beach and playground and Els enjoyed a long shady nap in the little tent. A perfect relaxation before the late train to Nah Trang!

We've worked out that Vietnamese trains seem to be a minimum 1 hour longer than they say so we were pretty nervous about arriving at 10:30 pm. Luckily both kids accepted Vegemite baguette for early dinner and slept from 5:30 until 10:30, unfortunately 10:30 arrival translated as almost 12 but we all fell into bed soon after and enjoyed a sleep in.

Today is a trip to check out the beach followed by a bus trip to dalat in the mountains where it should be much cooler!
