Wow! Another great installment in the A&L adventure, very well written! Vietnam sounds really interesting and complicated. The flow of life in Asia is really different than other places. Your comment about pedestrians like rocks in the river of trafficwas great! The pic of the banana vendor reminded me of Phillipines- we ate these little ones every day. One of the things I learned while at the U. studying Asian history, was that Ho Chi Minh patterned the first constitution for North Vietnam after that of the U.S. I believe he wanted a democracy and he expected our help in ousting the French. Unfortunately, it didn't work that way and we had the Vietnam War. Stevie

OMG, your writing is amazing! You must be a great writer? I am sure I am reading all your blogs to learn your writing skill. Next time when you go back to Vietnam, try Phong Nha and Hoi An in the central part, and Sapa and Ha Giang in the north. You will find it not same same, but completely different, but also wonderful too.

Wasn't Hoa Lo Prison also called the Hanoi Hilton by the US troops?
