Exhausted from Christmas, work and moving into the Hotel that day, NYE wasn’t planned to be a huge party night.
Luke and I went for a nice dinner to start the night, and decided to just go and say ‘hello’ to our friends at Mao’s Red Lounge.
My mood really matched the weather while walking to Mao’s - misty, cloudy and light sprinkles; I just wanted to go home, watch a movie and rest.
We squeezed our way through the sea of bodies in Mao’s, upstairs to where our friends were - all well on their way.
It didn’t take long for Luke and I to join them, once the beers started, they didn’t stop.
New Years Eve 2009 was one of the best nights I’ve ever had.

Kenneth, Tim, Charlotte, Joe shoe, ‘foot-fiving’ with Kenneth who had also lost his shoe, to the sobering moment of the night where I watched the street lights in the distance turn off as it was now daylight.

sometimes the best evenings are unplanned and when you don't feel like it.....or does your conscience know that deep down you really do? xo hope to hang out a bit before my departure. xo
