Hello,
The second month of my 2 Months stay in Hanoi was just a continuation of a very rich experience.
Feeling like an inhabitant of Hanoi, being used to the vietnamese everyday life, driving motorbike everyday with flipflops, shorts and T-Shirt, eating everyday at the small tables almost on the street, understanding a little more about how people live and think, enjoying time with friends, visiting their hometowns in the middle of the country side.
One day, after a french guy raised funds for it, we transported and loaded on a boat hundreds of barrels, wood and bamboos for the reconstruction of the floating village. The working conditions were like in the middle age and quite dangerous... but it needed to be done.
It took the whole day and a part of the night. We finished, in the dark, with the distribution of the material to the families, preventing them from fighting for getting more than the neighbor.
In the Youth House project, there were a few improvements, but it still seems like a drop in the ocean.
Concerning the children, the relationship with them also got to a stage where they became my friends. So the time
to say goodbye was very sad and they have been extremely kind to me: they painted a poster, wrote me so many letters and offered me a diary.
In order to come back smoothly into the Western World, a study friend invited me for 4 days in Singapore and 3 days in Malaysia where peaople are laid back people and have BEAUTIFUL beaches, corals and multicolor fishes!!! Amazing.
Now I am back in Berlin and I will look for my next job probably something in Paris or Berlin.
See you soon, I've got good videos to show you!
