Hanoi Style

We've finally arrived in Hanoi after long flights. After being delayed 3 hours in Vancouver and missing our connecting flight we have arrived safe and sound even if we are dead tired. This delay added about 7 hours to our trip. Our hotel is fine and the furnishings are great...lots of carving on the beds and dressers. Spent most of the day wondering the streets and browsing the shops. As promised, we had dinner at the famous Green Tangerine restaurant..the food was great and dessert was heavenly. Prices have definately increased but still great value. On friday we are going to Halong Bay and will be spending 2 days and one night cruising around, exploring caves and generally doing the tourist thing. I'm hoping for sunshine on our cruise and a little sunbathing would be great.
After Halong we're heading to Sapa (north west Vietnam) so stay tuned for more adventures.
