farewell to Ha until next time we meet
Our last night in Hanoi had sadly arrived. Ha came and farewelled us at our hotel. Hugs all round and many thanks for making our visit so good. She also gave us some monk beads which have a special meaning for her and now us (tell you some time in private). Ha had to attend a meeting so could not stay too long.

Thanks for the loan mate - will give you back 1 aussie dollar back home - ok?

Together with Mike and Yen we dined again at the vegetarian Buddhist place we ate at when we first arrived in Hanoi. Again, more thanks and hugs and goodbyes. None of the ATMs were working in town so I had to hit Mike up for the money to buy the meal - “thanks mate, my shout - but can you lend me some money?”.

Go there!



The easiest way to sum up our experience in Vietnam is to say “go there”, it is a lovely country, with very friendly people and an interesting, if at times confusing culture. If you can put up with everything thing being the “same, same, but different” you will have a great

time. Oh, and try to ignore people who pull the hairs on your legs - they mean well by it!
