Edit Blog Post
Hi again all...
Sorry that all these blogs are catching up with each other but Ive been to Ha Long Bay and there wasn't much time to write....
So the bus to halong bay left at 8 am and carried about 15 people...One of the people was a canadian from Montreal... A real loser... He forgot his passport at the hotel... When you stay on the boat you need your passport.... Why I don't know... I had a copy of mine so I thought I was going to me OK.... The funny of it was when he asked me if I would let him Photo copy mine and he would change the picture...LOL LOL.... I just said NO!.... and that was that... Then the guide asks him to pay for the rest of the fare for the trip.... Apparently he only paid half... He told the guy he wouldn't pay for the rest until he got back from the trip and that he enjoyed it too... What the hell... # days and two nights for $40us and you want to be picky...LOL... It gets better unfortunely... Just keep reading down... So we get to the boat dock and trust me
The Caves
A bit unreal...eh they drive boats here like they drive Motos and cars.... Once on the boat we are joined with another tour group which had a couple of Canadians with it... Well let me say that they are the worest ambassadors for our country... Once on the boat they explain to me that I could not stay on the boat the first night because I didb't have a copy of my visa but that I could stay on the second night... That was KOOL.... and I said OK.... The first stop was to some caves on one of the many Islands... Nice but it felt like they made them themselfs... We then headed towards the Island Ca Bat... The trip through all the little Island was just a site... We ended up at some pier and me and about 6 others went into a Mini Bus and headed to town for our hotel... When we got to the hotel we all had our dinner and sat around and talked about politics....LOL... The two Canadian guys were just drunk and one in particular real was a loud mouth.... He was telling everyone how he liked to piss people off on his trip and
was so proud of it too... The group and I went to a Karaoke studio... It was a one room as small as a bedroom... There was a few Vietemese guys there and we all joined them... Again the Canadians were just being IDIOTS and about 20mins I left to go back to the hotel and go to sleep... The next morning we woke up and was scheduled for a hike around the Island... But I decided to go on my own and explore myself... Im glad I did too... I first took a small boat around the Island for $2us for about an hour.... It was nice to be paddled around like I did.. I then went to the Market( I love all these markets)... And then met up with the group for lunch... After lunch we all went Kayiaking... That was a good time... I ended up with a good paddlers and we went around for about an hour... We then went back to the hotel ... The group that stayed on the boat the night before stayed at the hotel and the group of people that stayed at the hotel was to stay on the boat tonight...
Pinapple salesmen...
Fresh off the boat... But because the Canadians were planning to get royally pissed I decided to stay with the other group... And I was glad I did... We al went to the market and to a beer garden before dinner and then after dinner we went back to the beer garden.... But this time I brought my chess set and played with some of the guys... I always won...lol... The next day we all met up on the boat and headed back to catch our bus back to Hanoi... For some reason we had to split up into two groups and I took the first bus... One of the Canadians was just talking shit the whole time...When we got into Hanoi the driver stopped and told us to get out of the bus.... Well this was not my hotel and I didn't know where the hell I was... I told him that he was to take me back to my hotel... He just pretended that he didn't speak english and told me to go.... NOT... I would let him take my pack out of the back of the bus... Then he thought about getting forceful with me and then I said raising my
shoulders " are you sure" ... I m a big guy and he knew it to... He backed down and then I took my pack and went into the van and said that I wasn't leaving untill he drove me back to the hotel...LOL... well he drove around for about 5 mins and then he said that he would pay for a Moto to take me back to the hotel... I wasn't to excited about it but what the hell... I then made sure that he paid the guy to take me back to the hotel ... I finally got to the hotel and that was that... I told the hotel that I wasn't pleased with some of the service and Im sure that they were just happy to get their money.... I would not book anything with The blue sky hotel.... They seem to over charge and give you some bad service... And they also over charged me for my trip to the Chinese Border which I will explain in my next blog...
