The train ride was indeed magnificent, but the asian culture of hating the sun was a bit a shame for us now, as all the locals closed the curtains. Luckely, we had another European at our opposite so we could peek through her window at the beautiful view.
The city of Hue is well known for its royal tombs and stunning Citadel. Hue is the cultural and spiritual heart of Vietnam. Staying here for two nights, we enjoyed walking along the riverside and the organized tour visiting the Citadel, pagodas, tombs and temples. This tour was again an enrichement in the background of these monuments and the buddhism.
