We have spent the last few days in a city called Hue down the coast of vietnam.

We took the overnight train from Hanoi which was quite enjoyable, it was nice to see the countryside.

Hue is a really nice place, a lot calmer than Hanoi and a lot hotter!! The traffic is not as dense here so you don't quite feel like your going to drop down dead from carbon monoxide poisoning which is always a bonus!!!

We went to the citadel today which was lovely, and we timed it right by going in the late afternoon. Its hard to catch the scale of it all on my camera but I think I may have done alright. Its a shame it hasn't been maintained correctly as we could see it must have looked magnificent in its hayday.

There isn't much going on here, although we did find this bar called The DMZ Cafe, which was really busy and I met some people my age which was cool and the best part of it was the music!! They played Rage!!!!!!! So clearly I was well chuffed, and Dad enjoyed himself playing pool, it was our first proper night out since we left (well I guess a week isn't too long a wait).

Well we are off to Hoi An tomorrow and we are going to get lots and lots of lovely silk clothes tailor made for us!!
