This is Mai:
this morning, the whole family went for a walk on the beach. The sky wasn't pretty. When we came back, Nam and I went for a dip in the water. Since then, it never stopped raining. For lunch, we went to the same restaurant like yesterday. It is very good and the price is right.😊

This is Tuyen:
Another light day. Long walk on the beach. Short dip in the wave under the rain. We didn't do any sight seeing due to heavy rain.

This is Nam:
Today it rained all day and the rain is very strong. While it is raining the waves of the beaches get bigger. There is not alot of things to do in the hotel. At lunch we ate at the same restaurant like yesterday but tonight we are going to eat at the restaurant at the lobby for dinner.
I am eating a lot more now since my recovery.

This is Long:
I was planning to take a tour of the Phu Quoc island but it was raining quite hard today. We were able to take a walk on the shore for about 1 hour in the morning and after that it rains from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM. I hope tomorrow the weather will be better so that we can leave on-time to go to Bangkok.
We are in the middle of the island in thi xa Duong DDong. 40 km to the north and 30 km to the south, there are 2 white sandy beaches that you see in some of the Phu Quoc advertising pictures. There is a minority of Cambodian people living in the North of the Phu Quoc's island.

The island has only electricity from the middle to the South using some big generators from 10:00 PM to 10:00 AM.
The other times, you need to have your own generator to produce electricity.
From October to May the beach facing Gulf of Thailand (West side) has calm waves and the East side has big waves. The reverse is applied from May to October.
Yesterday from the plane we can see some big forests on the Phu Quoc island. The tourist infrastructure in Phu Quoc is still rudimentary compared to Nha Trang and Mui Ne.
In the winter most of the tourists come from Scandinavia and in the summer they are mostly Australians.
Overall, Vietnam has nice beaches from the North until Vung Tau. Up to date I find that Lang Co is the nicest beach in Vietnam.

While in Quang Tri, chu Que told me that there is a lot of Thais going to Cua Viet for the beach passing through Laos.

Eventhough we don't do much in Phu Quoc due to the rain, I still appreciate it since I don't hear too much noise from the honking cars in Saigon. All we hear is the noise of the waves and nice breeze from the ocean.

apparently, beach is not crowdy !How come Mai got a bandage in the coude ? remember Phu Quoc is way down South, not in Saigon .it has equatorial climate: rains every season . Saigon has a tropical climate: wet season and dry season . Temperate climate: 4 seasons: spring, Summer, autumn and winter. Do you eat a lot of fish there ? They have nuoc mam Phu Quoc which is very famous brand name .Lan family is in Paris now . If you phoned to him by cell, this is:33- 661-999-776 (just try, this is cell phone number of anh Thang who lend him his cell during his stay in Paris).

Hi Tuyen, Long, Mai and Nam, Even Phu Quoc did not offer you much sunshine, just like Montreal, I am glad that you like Phu Quoc food and the breeze, and the sound of waves; Nam has returned for her vacation and is back to work today at her clinic. Presently Linh who is with me , wants to know if her aunt Tuyen enjoys the trip back to memory lane in Vietnam? Last friday, di Nhung came to visit with her son, daughter-in-law, daughter who is a Catholic nun . She met Me and Ba at their house; I went to cau Thap 's house and passed two enjoyable hours of conversation with Di Nhung; I was thinking aloud with di Nhung that in the first week of October this year, may be , Tuyen, could go to Paris with me and our mother and di Nhung to meet chi Yen and chi Sau ; I think my scholarship for conference could cover our airplane ticket and hotel expenses; it would be a great get-together and to show Tuyen some of Paris's finest such as Louvre and Orsay museums, Arc de triomple . Well, something to think about? Hopefully, Phu Quoc will offer some goodbye sunshine to the whole family . Have a great trip to Bangkok; maybe there, Tuyen would have some memories of our childhood together. I am looking forward to see Thailiand pictures with your family as our stars. Love, Truc
