Da Lat was a welcome relief from the heat, up in the hills, no beach in sight. Didn't do to much in Da Lat. Walked around the town and yes I inquired how much golf was. A twilight round at 2.30pm (goes dark at 5.30pm) for 50 dollars including some second hand clubs and I think golf shoes, but i didn't fancy running round the course so didn't take them up. Walked around again 2nd day, getting a bit lazy, but catching up on sleep in my private room watching football and some movies.

Final day i decided to hire a mountain bike and try and visit some of the attractions just outside the town. Ok this was tough as Da Lat is hilly. Headed to some waterfall which looked nice, a war memorial and then I tried to find some palace. I took a short cut and inevitably got lost. I was cycling up a steep hill, slowly then two dogs came out barking so i raced up the hill. Didn't quite make it and walked the last 10 metres totally ruined, dripping of sweat. Then another dog came charging out so i jumped back on and flew down another road. I headed back for the main road, but failed to find the palace. I found the Cremalliare which is a renovated train station, but didn't quite understand the attraction.

Da Lat is a place for activities outside of Da Lat like trekking, canyoning and jumping on the back of an easy rider.
