Hello

Well the two day trekk in Chiang Mai was great fun. we did loads of walking, went on an elephant ride, came across a small waterfall for a refreshing dip, spent the night in the tree tops in a lovely little shack and then ended the next day with more walking and a cruise down a little river on a bamboo raft. It was great fun, and we met loads of people. In fact, a guy from Holland called Gijs, is travelling with us through Laos.
Oue last day in Chiang Mai, involved visiting a local weekely market on a street called Sunday walking street. It was so lovely to see families together on their stalls making a living and spending quality time together!

From Chiang Mai, we managed to visit a litlle town called Pai, it took four hours to get there on a little local bus, it was such a lovely journey (sometimes a bit hairy and windy). This little place is my favourite by far so far. It was soooooo chilled out, lovely little stalls, bars and eateries. The place was mainly full of local people, so it didn't feel too touristy at all. We had a great time and had our first very late night which involved a drink or too. It was nice to unwind for a bit, because up until then it has been a bit serious with all the palnning.
