We have arrived safely in Bangkok after a short stop in snowy Helsinki. Headed straight for our guesthouse on Khao San Road and crashed out. No place for luxuries - the room smells of sick and the shower consists of just a wall next to the toilet!!

Have just been out for dinner which cost about GPB 4 for all 3 of us - bargain!! Have already located Maccy Ds but are resisting for as long as possible and eating the local food!

We are heading up to Chiang Mai tomorrow on a 12 hour overnight bus so will keep you updated on our return.
