The Westin Siray BayThe Westin Siray BayThe Westin Siray Bay

Great hotel, very private and a ways from the town but it was a very pleasant experience. Tuk-Tuk rides and the pools and food were a great experience
Took a short break from China and the cold to visit Phuket, Thailand. The temp in China when we left was -4 F. We arrived in Thailand at a bombing 91F, talk about a culture shock. Our hotel was the Westin at Siray Bay, a thumbs up to the hotel and staff, they went out of their way to ensure we were taken care of. Our hotel set on the side of a cliff so to get back and forth from your room to the lobby you had to call for a tuk-tuk from the hotel to come and get you. Very cool experience. We went from laying at the pool, to eleghant riding in the jungle, to deep sea fishing. Great time, not enough time to see everything.

We were at the top of the mountain in this picture overlooking the ocean below. Greatest experience, will always remember this part of the trip, it is a must if you are in Thailand.

We were riding thru the jungle and the eleghant stopped and gave us a great joy and scare when he started doing this.

Budda

This Budda is on top of a mountain, I took the shot by zooming in, you can see this Budda from anywhere in Phuket, a somewhat of a landmark to help get your bearings. They light it up at night.

Some of the mountains that come up out of the sea, we were about 4 hours from the marina and about 30 miles out in the ocean and you will see these mountains everywhere out in the sea.
