We had the pleasure of making a weekend trip to Qianshan Mountain. It is in Northeast China about 20 kilometers away from Anshan City. We were with a group from work. Qianshan ( Mountain of A Thousand Peaks) because its peaks interweave one another nearly amount to one thousand. It is the sacred land of Buddhism and Taoism with Buddhist and Taoist temples and monasteries. The scenery was beauiful with many paved foot paths that climb steeply up the hillsides through thick forest. These foot paths lead past, Steele, honouring the dead, small shrines, pagodas and temples. These are active temples to this day. Cable cars to several of the scenic peaks, them more climbing after that. I have to say I did not make it all the way to the top, there is over 1000 steps and some go straight up. OMG!!!!! Hope you enjoy the pictures it was a great experience.
