Pingpong shows

We flew from Chiang Mai to Phuket and stayed in Patong for a few nights. This is supposed to be the area with the best nightlife. However most of the bars turned out to be girlie bars where you can buy a thai woman for the night for the equivalent of 7pound 50! We lost count of the number of times we were asked if we wanted to see a 'pingpong' show!

We stayed fairly close to the action in an area where there was obvious damage to buildings left by the Tsunami. We looked for sirens and signs that are supposedly there to warn people should it happen again. All we could find was useless signs saying 'Tsunami evacuation route' pointing at things like one storey builings! Bloody useless ey!

We had a good time drinking in the numerous Aussie bars. And had our first opportunity to lie on a beach here, which was nice.
