Last day in Phuket

We have come to our last day at the Aspasia and are now off to Ko Phi Phi (where the beach was filmed - for those who don't know).

We spent a day travelling around the south of Phuket and have found some lovely beaches and scenery. We decided against an elephant ride as, sadly, the elephants did not look entirely happy.

Last night we saw a Thai Elvis performing in one of the bars and he drew a really big crowd, we were not among them. He probably refelected Elvis in his later years. We were given 3 Thai Bananas at the restaurant we ate in. It's the first banana we've had that has quite large pips in it! The food here is fabulous and so cheap. We can have three dishes with 2 plain rice and 2 drinks each for the equivalent of 8 pounds.

The funny thing here is that Nigel is really popular with all the tailors (and there are plenty who all seem to claim some link with Armani). They seem to like Nigel as he is wearing a shirt with his shorts as opposed to most men who have only gone to the effort of wearing a t-shirt for the evening. Nigel says it is the first time he's felt like he's the one who is overdressed. He hasn't been tempted to order a suit yet!
