EMERALD POOL
Ken having a bath Well hello, the reason for the lack of diary entries is that we have been doing very much the same old thing for the last week. Waking up, going to the beach, eating and drinking. The weather remains hot but we have had quite a lot of rain in the latter part of some of the days. All the more reason to eat and drink I hear you all shout!
Yesterday, however, was a bit different. We went on another trip; this time to the nearby rain forest. The trip included going to a running hot spring which was like having a jaccuzzi once you got in (see photographs of us both). The next stop off was a twenty minute trek through what to some might be a jungle but maybe not quite as dense - tough enough for Linda and I however. The trek was worth it when we arrived at another bathing place -The Emerald Pool. This time only Ken ventured in - Linda obviously to tired from her jungle trek. The swim was followed by lunch for us and the ants (another story) and a visit to a rubber plantation which was hugely interesting. Our time was
TEMPLE
Us knackered after the 1000 step journey! not elastic however so we then made our way to yet another temple, which was, yet again home to loads of monkeys, but was, yet again, wonderful to behold. As our tired legs testify today there was a hell of a lot of steps to climb to visit all of the noteworthy parts of this temple but very much worth every step.
We move on back to Phuket tomorrow in the hope of seeing Linda's cousin who is out here on holiday; then next week we travel to Ko Lanta for nine days, befeore heading to Malaysia (Penang) for just over a week.
More news to follow. Enjoy the photographs. Would love to hear from you on the comments board.
