getting ready for our final Scuba Dive!
Hello all! We survived the Scuba diving you will be pleased to know and are now both Open Water certified! Scuba diving was just a fanstastic experience! My first efforts were a bit lame and I did have a bit of a panic when i found myself face down stuck on the coral like a piece of velcro..luckily everone else seemed to find this most amusing! After that it was pretty much like you imagine moon walking to be...fantastic. I can't believe the kinds of creatures we saw, angel fish and cleaner fish which attractively ate all the scabs off our bodies and nibbled at your ears. We saw giant clams and sea cucumbers, and just such massive quantities of fish all swimming together it felt like you were in 'Finding Nemo!' No sharks yet though! The people we dived with were fantastic a really great bunch of people. They were also very helpful in helping celebrate Kyle's 25th Birthday, armed with presents ( New Way Scuba t-shirts) and everything! A very fun evening was had by all. we celebrated lying on the beach, in a bar surrounded by candles and fairy lights watching the tide come up to our toes. The actual bar was sculpted int the tree, with the lights drooping from the branches, definately very relaxing! We also went for a Thai oil massage in a gazebo on the beach, it was amazing, I was lovely and relaxed...Kyle dribbled (everywhere)!! Methinks he liked it! We were meant to return to Ko Phan Gan but this island is so beautiful we decided to stay and explore a bit. Yestersay we went for a long walk to Buddha beach to seee a rock shaped like a Buddha and to see where King Rama V visited the island...all a bit cultured so definately time for the beach again! we ahve a great pool where we are staying and have a lovely liitle Thai hut with a big fridge...its not taking much to excite us these days! Tommorow we hope to snorkle with the sharks off shark island....(cue Jaws music!) We will keep you update dof our survival! Many thanks for all the messages and emails all really appeciated, take care all, love Nic and Kyle x x x x
