under the boat getting our gear all set... its up to you to get it all right. i checked my air supply at least 10 times haha
well i can say that scuba diving is going to be the highlight of my trip! chris and i completed the Open Water Dive of our PADI license, which took about four days. First day was all classroom work with lame videos haha... second day half classroom half in the pool. Starting in the pool is a great idea, but alot hard then you'd think... you're bumping into people and it makes you feel closed in... i was a litlle worried going out in the ocean, but honestly the second you put your head under you are blown away by the scenery (can you call it that underwater?) we dove 4 times off the island of koh tao... amazing reefs and coral, saw gorgeous fish, a school of baracuda above our heads, and these hideous but dangerour fish called Triggers. Our instructour was great, this old guy from new zealand... took our group of 5 into a cave on our first dive! our deepest dive was 18 meters... kinda hard on the ears, but once you learn to equalize and go slow, its amazing what you can see! im so excited that i think i'll continue diving in Cambodia and get

these boats are in and out all day long bringing divers new air tanks
my Advanced Divers certification! The first could was about 9000B(about $300 canadian) which is such an amazing price for diving in one of the top spots in the world! uncle rick... these islands should definitely be on your list next!

the island of koh tao is amazing... such a great vibe, lots of surf shops, restaurants, but with a small feel. everyone on the island drives around these motorocylces... pretty crazy driving. to get a "taxi" up to our resort... you hop into the back of a pickup truck (brand new toyota's ?!) and give them 100B adn they take you up.... not the safest but alot of fun. wish i could have taken a pic while on the back... but i'd needed both hands haha.
