Dive site 2
One of the Dive boats in the area We left ko phi phi in a hurry we had all our clothes in the laundry so when we asked if the clothes were ready 30 minutes before our boat left it caused a bit of a panic behind the counter they had to raido back to the house and informed me that the clothes were still wet... no problems i said just bring the clothes so we can leave but this was not going to do they insisted on drying the clothes even if it ment we were going to miss our boat or not.... Luckly with around 5minutes to spare we had the clothes relativley dry and squashed onto the boat back to karabi
so we have moved on from ko phi phi and across to the east coast (boat, bus, boat) where there seems to be more sun although I must tell you about what happens when it does rain... but more about that later.
The first and second day we spent chillen on the beach and a bit of shopping for both things we did and didn't want to buy luckly we havn't purchased anything crazy yet!!!. The second day on the beach was great

A photo taken of our dive location the sun was out in full swing except for a few clouds. We had quite a nice spot infrount of our hotel with the umbreall and chairs sonia had her book and i was drinking a beer. The out of no where we saw people running across the beach right to left in frount of us we even laughed when we saw a whole family pushing a pram and all. We then noticed the clouds had covered the sun and with out time to think it began.... Like the movie the perfect storm where three cyclones came together to form the impossible storm it had happen again... but this was no movie. The rain fell so hard it was like a bucket of water with each drop. I held the beach umbrella in defence as a makeshift fort while sonia packed her things already soaking. but it was time to go i couldn't hold the 6 foot umbrella any longer and cowardly left it to the wind to take it off down the beach whilst i protected my self running to the nearby hotel.... I felt sorry for the hotel staff member who then had to run chasing after the
way ward umbrella. Definately a memory we will never forget.
That night we hit to party district and went to a dance club called the green mango which was really good but once again i think Sonia and I over indulged in the alcohol sonia says 4 cocktails and 10 beers each sonia had 11... but i can't remember and i am not 100% on the score card. after the drinks though I had a slice of chilly pizza (god knows why... I was drunk... sonia had one bite and had three ice teas to wash it down) but i was the tough one who had to finish it and yes I paid the price the next day when I couldn't move more the ten metres from the bathroom.
Medicine fixed me up and we decided to hit the island of ko toa which is known for it's scuba diving and one of the things on my to do list. Sonia was pumped but i think we both had our doubts about how we would go me with my stomach problems and sonia with the contact lenses in the water (she is blind as a bat without them).
Dive gear
Dive gear but both turned out fantastic everything went well... weather perfect, instuctors great infact we had an instructor each a german couple... we are calling them herman and helga because we forget their names...(i hope they never read this blog) and last but not least the location was amazing definately like everybody says. We had two dives first one was around 12meters deep and 45 mins through a "chinese garden" like a laberinth of coral... and second was around 30mins around a large pillar rock formation covered in coral about the same depth. I wish i could put photos of the dives but i am sure they wouldn't do it justice any way.
Sonia has not been able to stop talking about the dives with a sea cushion that she picked up and sucked her hands, clams and sea flowers that opened and closed when you swam close and a fish that followed me around thoughout my dive.... I later found out it was a cleaner fish and it was probably because i was dirtier than everyone else haha. But the fish were amazing and the coral and the colours really had to be seen to be believed.
Now
