After Kelly left us, we went to Ko Samui and stayed in our good friend Steve McCalls nice little house on the island of Ko Samui. It was the perfect location for us to relax and heal due to a small scooter accident. No, KT wasn't driving. On our 2nd day in Ko Samui, we had a small scooter accident and KT had to be taken to Ko Samui hospital. She received 1st and 2nd degree burns on her calf due to the tail pipe. OUCH!! Karl had a toe injury, nothing broken, but we received excellent medical care and were sent home with lots of painkillers, supplies to clean and dress the wound, and orders for KT to stay out of the water for two weeks.. TWO WEEKS. but we were on an island. As odd as it sounds, it couldn't have worked out any better for us. Although the burn was painful, it could have been so much worse. While in the emergency room there were two other couples with scooter injuries and they had broken bones. It was the best case scenario for an accident because we had a nice place to stay and it rained pretty much

We stayed here one night with Kelly before we went to the Ko Phangan
every day we were there. We watched movies, updated the blog and just relaxed. We had to return to the hospital two times for a check up and the doctor said Karl was doing a wonderful job of taking care of the burn and it was healing quite well. We were able to take some spectacular hikes on the island and visit the butterfly garden, but it was mostly relaxation and healing time for us. It was difficult to leave this island paradise. THANKS Steve and Summer.
