Larry the lizard was twice if not three times the size of this one but was camera shy :)
Hey everyone, been here in ko samui for about three days now, and have settled in very well, apart from the rain again last night (but it was dry by the morning 😊). we've been very lazy so far, and are both turnig rather pink, i've told myself it will be brown in the morning tho, fingers crossed.
we had our first cocktail of the trip last night a mai tai which we later found that we dont really like, i had to practically force mine down 😊 and nat couldnt finish hers. it was a good job we didnt pay for them- admitedly it wasnt on purpose but we went in, sat down, ordered, drank them, got up and left saying goodbye to the waitress girl and then later this afternoon it dawned on me we hadnt paid, whoops- we've avoided that bar tonight and crossed over the road as we passed just in case theres wanted posters of us 😊
Here in Ko Samui is also the smallest taxi in the world- we were walking along and heard the familar sound of the beeping of a taxi horn (if we wanted a taxi we'd stick our arm out) only

Sitting next to that pool we forgot we were supposed to be backpacking :)
to look to see a small man on a motorbike, well more like a scooter and yes as he passed on the back of his fluroescent green top was the word taxi written across, it was so funny.
We had a close call with some thai wildlife today too, i was innocently having a lie down after a hard day sunbathing and got up to go to the toilet (a proper one with flush and everything by the way) when i was confronted by the biggest lizard of our trip running across the wall- i was glad i found it and not nat because she would have screamed the place down, i shouted her though (just to warn her) and so we both stood there (on our beds - it was a big lizard!) trying to work out where it had gone, after a few minutes of flicking the light on and off and me investigating with a torch we established we didnt know where it was, i went outside to get my towel and there he was ( he now had a name -larry) he was just sat, well sort of hung on the wall, he was the size of a 30cm ruler and an inch thick (nats estimations) and was bluey and orangey. We are quite happy for him to stay on the balcony but anymore wandering into our room unannounced and he will not be welcome thakyou very much 😊.
anyway thats all from ko samui for now, speak to you all soon x x x

Hello
Hiya, Hope you are well. Glad you are having a good time...even if that does involve a 30cm by 1 inch lizzard called larry! Hehe. Doubt either of you will be scared (or as scared in Natz case) of horrible creepy crawlies and wildlife. Have a lovely Christmas and New Year if I don't manage to blog one of you before monday. Miss ya's!!!! Xxx
