Hi from Koh Phi Phi!!!
The weather is not brill here today, hence the sitting in an internet cafe writing a blog!
We had one last night in Koh Samui on Wednesday and splashed out on a 3 course meal at a lovely restaurant. It cost us nearly 30pounds (which is expensive for Thailand as we're used to spending about 4pound to feed us both!) We looked for a ladyboy cabaret show but the only one in Lamai beach was closed down. As we walked through the bars, Anton received a lot of attention from the Thai women - they didn't seem to care that he was with me!!
Another early start to go to Phuket, so we were up at 6am :-( and after a ferry ride, followed by a bus and then a taxi ride, we arrived in Koran Beach Phuket. Our hostel was not brilliant - a bit smelly!! The area was very touristy but the beach looked nice. We decided to book a ferry to Koh Phi Phi for the next morning as we didn't really want to stay in Phuket for too long. That night we had an ok meal but the place was full of very loud, brash Australians and one couple in particular were extremely drunk, causing the families around them to move away. The guy bought a tazer gun from a street vendor and he and his wife thought it was brilliant fun to shoot each other with it! Anton and I both feel like old fuddy duddies, but we really like the quieter places!!! Anyway, we ate, left and got an early night as we were up at 6:30am for the ferry to Koh Phi Phi.
We arrived in Koh Phi Phi about 11am and breathed a sigh of relief - it was beautiful and we felt calm again after Koran beach. We found our hostel and it was lovely, clean and very welcoming. It was a lovely day yesterday, so we straight away booked a trip to Koh Phi Lay to where the film 'The Beach' was filmed. This consisted of travelling in a long boat, a spot of snorkelling and a sunbathe on Maya Beach (from the film). Snorkelling was great and we saw a lot more fish and coral than we did in Koh Samui. Maya beach was lovely but we would have liked to have seen it in its deserted state. We arrived back to Koh Phi Phi to watch the sunset on the beach. We found a great restaurant that serves cheap, good food and have been there twice to eat already!!
After a beautiful day yesterday (Anton is now covered in a sexy looking heat rash all over his back and arms), we woke up to torrential rain; so the planned lazy day on the beach has been postponed. We leave Koh Phi Phi tomorrow to head back to Phuket for one night and then we fly to Singapore.
Keep up the comments - we enjoy reading them.

Lots of love from Kate and Anton

Special kisses for Thomas, Lauren, Erin and George - we look at your photos everyday xxxx

PS A silly moment from me and one from Anton:
Me: A sign outside a bar called 'bikini bar' said 'Volley Ball for Bikini Customers only' I saw some men playing volleyball and wondered how they could play because they were not in bikini's!!! It didn't take me too long to realise my mistake but by then it was already a blonde moment!!
Anton: Whilst looking at a magazine with house prices in Thailand - there was a beach front apartment for 515,000 baht. Anton looked at it and said, 'that one is five hundred and fifteen hundred thousand' Holy Cross certainly did him wonders!!!!
Speak again soon xxxxxxxx

Looked at the bikini bar comment for a long time Kate before it registered, but got it now! All your photos , perhaps a few too many fish! make us wish we were there with you both, so glad I did the snorkelling, so we know what a fantastic time you are having. Thomas lost at football this week, 2-1, after the win last week we thought they were on a winning streak. Also dissappointment for Dad as Argyle only drew. Drizzly grey day today, lots of jobs to do but not done any yet! Have a safe journey to Singapore, we miss and love you and hope we will speak to you very soon xxx
