Well on the 12th i left my home Koh Tao! which was sad but at the same time i was happy to leave having spent three months on this very small island, it was time for change. That being said, i didn't go very far! I got on the Ferry feeling like it was the beginning of my adventures and then an hour and a half later off i got onto a bigger version of Koh Tao called Koh Pha ngan. I was with Becca (a differnt Becca) and Glyn, who had actually done some research into where they were going and decided to go to a beautiful quiet bay which had a long name which i wrote down somewhere. lol. We went for dinner on the beach front and spent the next day relaxing before our big night out! oh and trying to book me a ticket straight through to cambodia rather than spending a night in bangkok. Really didn't trust the tickets she booked, but the thai's have this 'it'll be fine' way of stating things so you can't argue. I payed up and started the drinking!

The night of the Full moon party was a bit odd. Meeting up with all the people i'd just left on Koh Tao. and also meeting the person i was supposed to be meeting in cambodia and who was in fact not in cambodia!! but right next to me getting drunk also! lol ah well. was quite amusing. i actually don't have any photos because my camera temporarily broke at that point but then when i got to cambodia i really whacked it one from the advice of Bill, the american (the only american i met!) and then it decided to work again! magic! after pilling a load of wahtever we could find onto some drunk person, i think we knew them! We caught a speed boat at 6am back to the bay we came from and i started to pack up my stuff!! yup i was moving on to cambodia. But first i had to be missinformed by a taxi driver, get on a boat, a bus, a bus, a bus, another bus and then a tuk tuk where i was dropped outside a cafe in bangkok and told the bus to cambodia would come here. hmmmmmmmmmmm. This being my first experience of travelling alone i was not too happy! i waited and waited and waited, asked lots of people......waited for a travel agency to open to find that all that was inside was rubble from it being majorly renovated!! Well i got really worked up to be honest as all i had was a scrap of paper with koh samui crossed out and cambodia written in, and all these buses turning up and picking up people and leaving. Plus it was only supposed to be a one hour slot between me getting dropped of in bangkok and being picked up by this bus to 'take me to cambodia' I also had the realisation i had no idea where i was going to be dropped of in cambodia. I was hopeing it was Siem Reap where most buses go but i don't think i ever asked!! Anyway after practically breaking down i got picked up! - and taken to a travel cafe with a load of people and bags. Where we waited some more! Hours passed and we got in a minibus, then another one and another one and then eventually made it to the border. Crossed by foot and got in the renowned minibus to go on the renowned road to siem reap (i hoped!) When i say renowned i mean the buses can be open windowed, rickety, airconless heaps of metal and the road is shockingly bumpy and sandy and long and straight! luckily i managed to get a aircon, windowfull bus! so didn't get coated in yellow, unremovable sand. We were all squished in very tight though, but i still managed to sleep!! lol
