Boxing...
Two overnight train rides in a row, then a bus and a ferry and a sawangthaw (double bench taxi) and we found ourselves at our beach hut on Koh Pang Ngan. We were in desperate neeed of a shower but our room was still occupied by a hungover party-goer so we had a beer whilst waiting! (twist my arm!)

what a difference between BK, CM and now the islands. Bk was so intense, we had the best part of a day between the two train rides so set out exploring the built up, shopping malled part of BK. It's strange how in any major city you really could be anywhere in the world. it's all the same, with Starbucks and mc Donalds lining every street! Holly and I hired a peddalo (no idea how to spell that) in Lumpini Park adn were quite shocked at the ammount of wildlife threattening to jump into our boat (Swimming Lizards nearly the length of a car -slight exaggeration- were pretty scary!)

anyway, enough of BK were in KP now and you can;t imagine two more extreem lifestyles. During the day everyone lays in hammoks, plays in the sea and reads books come night fall, the music starts up and you dance untill the tide comes up to your feet sipping on buckets of cocktails!!

Our frist night in KP we went to a Muay Thai boxing match. I'm goad I went to one but the whole experience left me a little upset. They had children as young as 8 or 9 kicking the s*** out of each other i wanted to tell them to stop fighting and talk it out!! I know i know i really can't complain, i mean what did i expect it's a BOXING MATCH! Holly however was in her element, she was shouting and screaming and getting really involved!! I guess she understandes it becuase of her JuJitsu stuff!!!

anyway, I really have done nothing but eat, drink, sunbathe, read play the Uke and play with the Waboba ball so not much to update on. The full moon party was supposed to be yesterday but has been moved to the 24th due to Buddha day and some 'election-that-has-just-crept-up-unexpected' excuse. it makes no difference to me but the moon will not be full when we go- oh well.

hope you are all good. I'm so relaxed happy and healthy.
miss you all

Lizard stuff
Hey Hey, RE: Lizzardy thing! Apparently (according to Wikipedia), they are called water monitors. “In Thailand, the word water monitor or actually local word … (hia) is used as an insulting word for bad and evil things including a bad person. Its name is also considered a word bringing a bad luck, so some people prefer to call them … which means 'silver and gold' in Thai to avoid the jinx”. Your comment box didn’t like the Thai language, hence the dots. Oh No! Shame about the moon thing... but I love the whole hut thing with the beach doorstep – I think you’ve found me a new home! Hehe. x

Thai Rugby
Hello Penny, I'm having a wonderful time, as you might have gathered! As far as Thai rugby goes, I'm not sure it's a big sport here. They all play a form of volley ball using their feet and a small plastic ball. hope you are well
