There is so much traveling here in Thailand. You go from bus to boat to train to taxi or tuk-tuk. The delays are always long and boring. You get dropped off in the middle of nowhere at a bus stop and wait for hours with other backpackers. Theft is a huge problem on the tourist buses. While the bus is on the road someone stays underneath with all the packs and goes through them all taking money, passports, which they can sell, plane tickets, clothes, jewelry; anything they can get their dirty little Thai hands on. But on the upside you do meet many amazing people while traveling. I have already taken 3 trips of 20 hours+ to get to different destinations. That's almost three days of just sitting on a boat, train, bus, or taxi. It's so worth it though.
