So, after crazy travel agent lady shouting at us and sitting waiting until 10:15am for our minibus to turn up, it finally did. The problem was it was pretty full when it collected the three of us and the idiot driver tried to cram us onto the back two seats which had absolutely no leg room. After we climbed over to the seats in front of us and the driver consulted his list several more times, we p... Read Full Entry

I couldn\'t agree more with you both. It seems that the zombification of mankind is well and truly taking place thanks to modern technology and the sad thing is that people can\'t see that they are actually being brainwashed by these infernal devices and the companies that sell them. You mention that people are becoming ruder and more selfish and yes, this seems to be the case too. Just one prime example today. We were standing in line waiting at immigration to get our passports stamped when this Russian family just push themselves to the front. Having already waited 15 minutes, I was having none of it and the immigration guy actually came out of his box and told them to go to the back of the queue. It seems that moral are going to hell in a hand cart as well! Take care :)

Queue jumping really annoys us!
Ha, well we hate queue jumping and when people do it we definitely send them to the back of the queue. It's sooo not British to jump the queue...people should realise they should never do that to a Brit otherwise we are likely to go all crazy on their arse about etiquette and manners (yes, we have done this before!)

Love your tales from the road
It is sad that people make pigs of themselves when they are offered a buffet meal. It does not make any sense. As for queueing.... it is an art form and so many believe it is alright to jump ahead. Where and when did that really get started? Once again you've shared a nice story and photos-- sorry to hear about the jelly fish encounter. Can't wait to read more.

Thanks for a walk down memory lane
Visited Lanta and Ngai back in Nov of 2000 - I remember that crazy swim through Emerald Cave! (and we had heaps of jellyfish too). Thanks for taking time to share...

Hello to the Clarkes!
Thank you for the comment. There is a feature on this website where we can convert the blogs we have written into a proper book with photos and everything...it would be a very big book! Hope you are all well xx

Hi there
Hey guys. Nice post and pics. I'm heading to Thailand for the second time in two years and considering staying on Koh Lanta in December (Chritstmas eve and Christmas), exactly like you guys did it. Do you think os worth it? Not sure if I stick to the places I now (Tao, Phan Ngan) or try a different location. Lol
