Hey!

We're sitting at a computer at the moment looking out a beautiful beach and at the sea. Its a bit cloudy now but we had some awesome sunshine this morning - perfect for doing nothing, which was exactly what we needed after our visit to Khao Sok National Park!

We arrived there on Tuesday and found the bungalow we had booked. It was a cozy little place with a great view overlooking the river. In the afternoon we went for a walk into the jungle of the national park before a huge rainstorm hit. Luckily we were able to get some shelter before we got too wet! It then preceded to rain for the rest of the day!

For the next day we had booked ourselves on a trip around a large (100 miles long at one point!) lake within the national park. It was a man-made lake created by damning a river, and was surrounded on all sides by massive limestone cliffs and mountains. Our guide said we would hopefully see some monkeys and we weren't disappointed! We saw some dusky langurs and even some gibbons swinging through the trees! We had a swim in the clear waters, paddled around in a kayak, visited an impressive cave by the lake and saw some Hornbills before returning home via a night market quite exhausted!

After that we decided to hit the beach (Hat Thung Wua Laen, near Chumphon), which is where we'll be for the next few days, chilling out as much as possible before returning to Bangkok!
