Hello Everybody,
We bought a joint ticket (bus and ferry) at Koh Samui for Krabi (paid 450 TBaht, each) . When we reached to Krabi the bus left us in an isolated port where it was also a bus station. We could’t move anywhere and they forced us to rent a taxi to Ao Nang , 400 TBaht. They tried to sell guest house in the bus station. We refused all and outside we got into a taxi who brought passengers from Ao Nang and we paid only 50 TBaht each.
In Ao Nang we stayed in a nice hotel , Kenneth Hotel , after bargaining we got a good deal of 1000 TBaht per night including breakfast and free wi-fi.
Making Ao Nang center we got tours to Four Islands, Princess Cave, Railay Beach and Phi Phi Islands. We ignored only Hong Island tour.
In the Four Island tour our camera got wet and didn’t function in the afternoon. We asked our friends on board to provide us the pictures related to the remaining part of the tour. The next day repairing our camera to a certain extend we visited the Phi Phi Islands by speed
Ao Nang
Tara Beach boat. On this tour we snorkelled two times. One at Monkey Bay, the second on the open sea on the way to Bamboo Island. . Underwater life in both locations were breathtaking. In this our SEA journey we got acquainted with the under water life . When we look at photographs on underwater life we may understand better.
Bamboo island has the best beach amoung the islands we have visited. Additional photos about Bamboo island may arrive from Belgium soon and then we will publish them also.
We were astonished at Railay East Beach. We were expecting a beautiful beach . We found no beach, mudy water and mangroves on the shore. The Railay West Beach is just OK. There is a little lanet o pass from west to east. There are rock climbing activities in between.
Our young friends Patricia and Nantakan have already e-mailed us the pictures and thus we are able to complete this blog .
By minibus we came to Phuket Island. Afterwards we are planning to g oto Koh Lanta an the way spend 1 or 2 nights on Phi Phi Island. On our next blog you will see more Phi
Phi island pictures.
