John and I went for a walk to see a cave near a village called Mae La Naa. I have been in this cave before, but went in from the other end. If you went all the way through it is 12 km long!

We stopped here for a quick break. The cave was only an hour away, but the paths kept disappearing. Lots of bush-bashing

This is were we went into the cave. We followed the river the whole way. Some points it was up to my chest, and at others I had to crouch down to get under the rock. Very fun.

This is just one of the beautiful rock formations in the cave. It was huge;reaching down about 15 metres. It is very hard to get enough light on things in caves to take good pictures, sorry.

This was my favourite place. It was a really slippy climb to get up the other side because mud has been washed down the sides. But once here, it was very beautiful. The sand coloured rock is all dimplley, and the water flows over in a fine sheet, so it shimmers. And then the blue are the pools formed by the water, so some of them are pretty deep. As the water flows down, it collects to one side so a waterfall forms (just out of shot) and there are little blind fish that can climb the rock! Crazy. I wasn't allowed to keep one as a pet :-(

Proof that I really am here. And also, this is when we had to start the walk home. It was getting dark, and yes, we lost the path a few times. But got home and there was a Thai-flavoured roast dinner waiting :-)
