Little shits!Little shits!Little shits!

The first village we stopped at we were attacked by loads of these little shites! I've never seen someone tie a braclet on your wrist and ask for 5 baht as quickly as these guys!!
After Bangkok I caught an overnight bus to Chiang Mai which is way up north. I originally intended to do a two day one night trek in the jungle but luckily there were not enough people so I got put on the three day two night instead. The group we had was excellent and everyone had a laugh. After a couple of hours trek we reached the first stop where we stayed the night in this little village. Unfortunatly I hadn't drunk enough water so spent the first night feeling like shite and having an early one. The following day we trekked to another village for lunch. It was so remote and only had one family of five living there. There was a little Thai kid who was really hyper who tried explaining a card game but no one had a clue what he was saying! We walked up the stream to a waterfall where we had a swim. On the way we had to walk along this really narrow path where there was a massive drop to the rocks below. I was at the back of the group taking pictures and just as I took the last one this girl

Considering the conditions in the villages, the meals have been the best since I've been in Thailand!
up the front slipped and fell off the edge! She was so lucky because a rock/tree stopped her from falling onto the rocks by the water! After I knew she was alright I was laughing and showed her the photo I managed to get of her falling!
The second night in the jungle was excellent because I had drunk loads more water. Again we stayed in this tiny village where we done the elephant trek in the morning. The guide was excellent on the guitar so we stayed up pretty late drinking chang beer around the fire. One of the girls on the trip went to the toilet and we could hear her screaming, when she got back she said there was a Turantula on the toilet seat! We were all expecting there to be a tiny spider but when we got there it was the biggest spider I've ever seen! The guides killed it anyway and chucked it on the fire...
The last day we rode on the back of the elephants which was cool. There was also a baby elephant which I fed :o) I've never been on the back of an elephant ands its really uncomfortable! There was another elephant which was just following but it was really naughty and kept charging the ones carrying us and then it would just fall over and lay on the path which was really funny.
We finished the trek off on a bamboo raft which took us down this river. If I wasn't so tired I would of enjoyed it more....
The trek has prob been the highlight of my time in Thailand so far so was a really good way to finish it off because I'm off the Laos next :o)

This elephant was so funny. It would just start running at the other elephants and then fall over. It was wandered off into the jungle and you could see trees falling!
