so i'm not sure how to describe the first 48 hours of my trip so i will list some of my thoughts and feelings so far.

The kids at the orphanage are amazing.
They are so loving and affectionate, unlike the students in taiwan.
Its weird for me to be here trying to igrone Taiwanese customs and my western customs i have embraced.
eating with my hands feels like a big no no and maybe a reason why so many kids and adults here are sick.
this country reminds me of a mix between, middle eastern culture, mexican and asian. the writing looks middle eastern. people ride in the back of trucks, like i have all day today and all the temples and monks. its such a strange mix here and i think i have fallen in love in such a short time.
i am learning thai
the kings picture is EVERYWHERE, i feel like i know him already. on mondays thai's wear yellow in honor of him and on fridays they wear blue.
i am sleeping on the floor in a building at the orphanage
we had bbq tonight and i helped cook cause they cook it the same was as we do in taiwan
it feels so surreal being here and having the opportunites we have had so far
everything is super cheap here! cheaper than taiwan
today we visitied a home where women with aids make all sorts of paper products, they taught us how, so we made our own paper gift bag, its sooo cool. i hope it can make it thru the next 3 weeks.
tonight we went to the night bazzar and it was not like the typical market i am used too, it was a lot nicer. and the prices we much higher. i bought a dress and a pair of pants but we are planning to visit the day market where things are much cheaper!
a little bit of money can go a really long way here, some many people are willing and ready to help the orphange here, it is such a wonderful thing
did i mention i am in love with these kids
i have eaten squirrel for lunch
last night we have fantastic mexican food
we went to carrefour today and its better than taiwans, i think i may move here next
so many people speak english here
there are sooooo many foreigners its kind of a shock for me
i havent seen this many foreign people since i was home
the group here is really wonderful
i could afford to buy a really nice house if i lived here
64,000 can buy you a 4 bdrm 3 bath new house......wanna move here mom??
i wanna bring these kids home with me........

we are doing some more shopping tomorrow and going to the zoo on wednesday, i am so excited for that!!
