After a good and long night sleep, we woke up well rested! Breakfast was surprisingly wonderful! The kitchen staff were so kind to provide me, Shelby, and Sierra a gluten free tray. We had cereal, fruit, Thai chocolate spread (similar to Nutella), and chicken & lettuce wrap. After breakfast, we hung out with our Thai buddies and got to know each other. They are so kind and funny! They even gave us a tour of their beautiful campus and their dorm rooms. I thought it was interesting that they fit about 6 people in a dorm room that is the same size as one of Messiah's 2-person dorm rooms. Because it is respectful to keep shoes outside the house/room in Thailand, the students kept all of their footwear outside their dorm rooms, in the hallway. Also, as the freshman Thai students passed upper class men, they bowed as a sign of respect to their elders. I'm just imagining if we did that in the United States!

After lunch, the American and Thai students all headed out for the day to go shopping. KadLaung Market was our first stop! This was an outdoor market that had everything a tourist could dream of. A lot of our students taught Thai Elephant pants to wear while we're here. After a few hours there, and a yummy lunch and dinner (chicken and rice), we headed to the walking market. This market was also remarkable! The only downfall was that it was absolutely PACKED with tourists! I could barely even move! I felt bad for our Thai buddies because I could tell they were getting physically tired and exhausted from translating for us. They are so kind though to have stuck with us all day while we shopped!

We came back to the school at about 10pm and our poor Thai buddies admitted to still having lots of homework to do! I really admire how dedicated they all are to their school work, but balance their social life well. Time for a good night sleep after a lonnnngggg day of shopping!
