Molly, Wayne and I went to Bandung to link up the school with a Swedish school in Lund via a web newspaper. By the end of the week we had more or less achieved what we wanted despite the quite erratic internet connections. To pass the waiting time we joined the English teachers in their lessons and entertained the kids with question and answer games and curious presentations about our home countries.

How do you explain skiing to kids who have never seen snow before?

Homestay at Mon's house
Every night was a party at Mon's place. That night it was Korean barbecue washed down with beers and Mekong whisky.

Making salt
No, this is not snow but salt manually produced from the local lakes. We could not refuse the present of a 10kg sack each.

White snakes ("Nagas") emerge from this spring in the middle of this palm tree forest.
