My parents were assigned to Nakhon Ratchsima (Korat), Thailand for language training, which would last two years. this is the river where I almost drowned...twice.

We especially liked the food that vendors had for sale, although as kids we also liked the toys.

They gave shots to every child, and I wasn't about to stick around for that!

Our tradition was whoever woke up forst on CHristmas morning got the jingle bells to wake everyone else up.
