Just Married: Houston to Bangkok!

We were married at our beautiful and fun wedding on 7/7/2018 in Dripping Springs, TX. Late on Sunday 7/8/2018 we went to Houston International Airport and flew to Bangkok, Thailand by way of Taipei, Taiwan. The first leg of the flight was quite long, but we were exhausted from the wedding and slept for a good portion of the journey.



Once we landed in Bangkok we got some Bhat at the currency exchange and bought sim cards to have unlimited 4G connectivity for our mobiles. We took a Grabcar directly to our hotel. We stayed at a lovely hotel called Tara Place, situated conveniently near Khao San and the Grand Palace. Fatigued from the wedding and flight, we napped for several hours before walking to a well-reviewed local spot for dinner. Jok Pochana is a modest outdoor cafe with traditional Thai cuisine. The green curry was delicious while the Tom-Yum was mediocre.



With our bellies full, we stopped by 7-11 for a few essentials and went to bed early.
