"Damage off for a ride on someones bike - as she rode off Alex said "this has got disaster written ALL over it" ha ha Hello Everyone
Just thought I'd do you a last update before I leave Asia behind and head off to Australia!
After my last blog I left Phnom Pehn and headed for a week of relaxation on the beaches in Sihnanoukville on the Southern tip of Cambodia. I was knackered after all that sight seeing.
When I first got to Sihnanoukville I was still travelling alone and I found the first day quite tough as I got into a bit of a situation on the beach with some of the kids and a couple of women that work on there. As soon as I got on the beach they all surrounded me asking me to buy bracelets, massages, headbands and all sorts of other crap that I wasn't intrested in and before I knew it I was on a sunbed with two women threading my legs. This is where they basically pull all the hairs out of your legs by twisting lengths of cotton over them. Then all the beach kids crowded round me asking me to buy bracelets off them and when I said no they were starting to make them anyway. It all got a bit much

Otris Beach and I told them that I didn't want to buy anything and they turned a bit nasty and started calling me stingy and unfair, then to top it off the woman who had threaded my legs wanted 15$ which is about a tenner for doing it, I told her no way and she started to get nasty aswell. In the end I got a bit scared so I tucked 5$ in her shirt pocket and ran back to my hotel room with them all shouting after me up the beach. I'd just started to think that I'd made a mistake going there when I met a really nice group of people and had a drink with them in the bar.
The new group were two girls from Bury, a couple from Dublin and a really nice lass from Nottingham called Alex, they were all really good fun and we moved together to a much quieter beach called Otris as there was a beach party going on there that night. Investors have bought out most of Otris beach and are planning to bulldoze all the bungalows on the beach as they are building big hotels and they only want bars

Alex & Teresa with some guys in cheesy cream suits on the beach so all the owners were having a demolition party. The beach was gorgeous and it gave Southern Thailand a run for it's money. Alex & I stayed together in a bunglow run by two characters from Croydon, they were a real pair and had been living together in squats at home and allsorts, they had some real stories to tell, they were rough as anything, but they were nice guys and they looked after us and made us lots of nice cups of English tea. The two girls from Bury were a bit wild aswell, put it this way one of them's nickname was "Damage" and she had a tankard of beer for her breakfast every morning so you get the picture. They were a great laugh though.
The party was great but the day after I started with the bad stomach again, which was pretty bad as there was no fan in our bungalow, it was just made of reed matting so I was feeling awful and so hot that the sweat was just running off me. I ended up just led in front of the sea in the breeze and running back to the

Me & Alex in the cheesy suit jackets bungalow when I needed to, it was just too hot in there! Luckily I had some antibiotics in my rucksack that I'd got in case this happened again so I started taking them and they made me loads better.
Alex & I were not really looking forward to the twelve hour bus ride back to Bangkok so we decided that we were going to head back to Thailand and have a few days on an island half way back to Bangkok called Ko Chang so we left the others behind and headed off. The VIP bus was full on the day that we wanted to leave so we had to get the ordinary bus, that might sound a bit snobby but anyone that has travelled in Thailand will know that the VIP bus is basically our ordinary buses and the ordinary buses are the buses that stop every five minuites to pick up bizzare items and people, to make up for all the drop offs they drive like madmen and I had one woman stare directly at me for the whole journey and one woman sneeze all over the back of my arm. It was a pretty hair raising

Our lovley hosts at Otris beach - the boys from Croyden. ride.
When we got to Ko Chang it was throwing it down and a storm was on the way, the ride to Lonley Beach where we are staying was funny, we came on a Sawngthew, which is a pick up truck with two wooden benches fixed in the back of it and there were around 20 people crammed into the back of it, people seemed a bit unprepared for the rain and one Thai kid had a plastic carrier bag rammed on his head which we laughed all the way here at. Ko Chang itself is great, after travelling Cambodia and coming back into Thailand everything seems so much easier, it is so much more set up for tourism and being back to using Thai baht and speaking a bit of Thai was really good, it was something familiar to me after two weeks of new experiences in Cambodia.
We rented mopeds for the three days we were staying, which were great fun and we have been all over. We found a brilliant beach called Bang Bao, which was really tropical and lovley, we went to the National Park and went swimming in a waterfall. I really enjoyed

Damage pole dancing on a wooden pole with the bloke with the dodgy suit on - she had serious splinters afterwards! that as we had a ten or fifteen minuite trek though jungle to get to it and when we got there we were boiling and the pools under waterfalls are freezing so we dived straight in. We went and played with some elephants for a while and just hung around on some other beaches. Learning to ride the moped was funny, the first time I got on it I revved the engine and shot forward into a massage shop, it was hilarious and everyone was laughing at me. The guy that we rented our bungalow off was asking me if I wanted him to ring me a taxi but I told him I needed to learn and carried on practicing, the only other thing I did was drive into a metal sign outside a shop parking up so I didn't do to badly and I really enjoyed it. I would definitely get one again and they are only four pounds for the day.
We were supposed to be travelling back to Bangkok yesterday and I was due to fly to Oz today but we had a bit of a disaster! Yesterday morning we at around 3am Alex started with

ha ha ha ha ha food poisoning and I started a few hours after. We were both really ill from the fried rice we had for our tea that night, when we ordered it they had brought out chicken burgers by mistake so we sent it back and then they must have rushed the rice as it appeared a few minuites later. We ate it but it was dark and either the chicken or the egg was under cooked. We were so ill and we were playing tag team for the bathroom. We both had to put our flights back two days to recover which was fine for me as it was free but it cost Alex 100 pounds to change hers. It was a nightmare and we just slept and drank water all day and all last night. The only consolation was that we were in it together which was better than riding it out alone. We are both feeling much better now and ready for tomorrow.
To be honest I think it's quite a fitting end to the Asia part of my trip, I'm going out the way I came in, sick as a dog. It doesn't really matter though because I've

Big jellyfish round here! had an amazing time and it's been worth every hour of being sick. I've seen some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, had so much fun, I've travelled though Cambodia alone, which is something I will always proud of as it was really very hard, I've learnt a lot and I've met some amazing people and best of all I met Andy, so all in all it's been a success!
Right well that's it from this part of the world, more updates from down under!
Miss you all
