Vrooom Vrooom
Time to hire the bike! Gulp Haven't a clue how far we got up to a few days ago, ha!
Yesterday morning sam said (courageously) "How you fancy renting a motorbike?" - - - eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!!
So, what did I say? "yes" - in a very squeaky voice that wasn't mine, donned a helmet, got me leg'oer and off we set into total randomness! Mind, we had bought a map and as there is only one proper road I knew we wouldn't get too lost, well, not for long anyway!
We were zooming along when Sam screeched to a halt, after putting all me clothing back where it belonged I saw a sign saying Waterfall, vrooom vroom. We nearly ran over a ferkin huge centipede too - mustve been 12 inches long and defo had more than 100 legs (hope he dont get RSD!!)
This waterfall right, it was off the beaten track, in a jungle, no kidding!! Me, IN A JUNGLE!! Dunno who was most surprised I was there, me or the monkeys (we didnt see any, boo hoo).
Got to the waterfall and it was wow - it was erm, like a waterfall really, with a huge pond thingybob! Sam had
Oh Shit
That was hard work weaving my way through tree roots, foliage and other stuff (including lizards and other things with four legs!) a great swim in it. Me? Nah, I just spent a while laughing at the German fella in white trousers swimming - first he didnt realise that when his pants were wet they were see-through - then he bent down and split the back, warra rip that was!
Great trek in Jungle... had a few down points but so pleased I managed to trundle on.
Wicked thunder storm too! Great!
Then... beer, beer, bit more bed and sleep!
Oh - and th air conditioner unit leaks constant fast drips of water right in to the TV!! reckon its safe eh? :-P
Right outside our beach bungalow are 2 interesting things: 6 Thai massage ladies (some of the men have had a good time!!) and men cutting down coconuts from huge trees - they are dropping literally feet away and no-one seems to bother! Its crazy fun watching the fella almost run up and down the trees (even crazier fun watching a few fellas try to work out how to leave the massage mats with their integrity intact!!!!)
Today - 2nd part of our 24 hour hire of the bike - the hills we went
Waterfall Ahoy!
Sam is first to see the Waterfall - this picture doesn't do it justice, it was fantastic with a lagoon at the bottom up were worse that Scar Top (about a 1:3!!) - not sure which was worst, chuggin up or having to shut my eyes on the way back down - shit that I was driving eh with eyes shut innit! (hahah!) All the steep hills and monte-carlo track chicanes were accompanied by Sam going "Whooooooooooooohoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo" at the top of his voice!
Bought a Lilo today - what with my Hippo Cossie and Lilo I looked a right idiot - but it was bloody good fun!
the only downside to being over here is pain, I just hate RSD and although I've been having a go at absolutely everything I just wish the pain would leave me just to enjoy my week. The bike and swimming were worst, but it was either that or wish forever I had given it a go.
and... there you have it. Back to Bangkok tomorrow ready for my flight home, bumma huh?
