Okay,

My luggage still hasn't arrived, but hey, doesn't stop us from exploring Bangkok.. So what have we experienced till now? First of all, Bangkok is a fascinating city. We have seen so many great things, so much beauty. so many buddha's 😉.. The lucky Buddha, standing Buddha, big Buddha, etc etc.. The highlights till now where the Grand Palace and the Wat Pho, although their beauty is a bit overshadowed by the extreme tourism around there. We have also seen Chinatown, which to me seemed like every Chinatown I've seen, interesting, but I don't like the atmosphere that much. Ow and of course we shave spent a lot of time on the Kao San and the area around, the street where most of the tourists go to for shopping, food and drinks. That was one of the first streets we saw, at our first evening, and it was pretty cool. Lots of lights, and very ' typical Bangkok' , at least in my mind. Owww and don't forget all the great food. It costs nothing (on the street about 50 cts for a meal, in a good restaurant 3 Eur.) and isd really nice and even pretty healthy 😉

However, unfortunately there are a few things that probably won't make Bangkok my favorite Asian city.. First of all, a lot of people see you just as a wallet and lie to you without problems. People tell you sights are colsed if they aren't, just to get you in their taxi or a shop of a friend's. Tuktuk drivers always try to charge you too much or to drive you to stores where they get a commission. You also have very nice and friendly Thai people, actually they even often warn you for those ' other' people, but it's just so hard to tell if someone is genuine or not. Well, till now Emma and I managed just fine, it's just so exhausting to be focused all the time. Second of all, the city is sooo extremely polluted, with all its cars, tuktuks, motors, etc, the air is just groose. Even people who live there adviced us not to stay longer then a few days in Bangkok, cause the city is just unhealthy to be in..

But overall it's a cool experience to be here, for sure. I just hope my backpack will arrive soon and then we can leave to Chiang Mai, where we might do some trekking..
