Day 13 Phnom Penh to Bangkok

This was a lazy day. We were headed off to Bangkok with Air Asia in the afternoon so we potted around the hotel and the riverside taking in the smells and the lives of the local. Phnom Penh airport is now quite modern and checking in and the process through immigration is very efficient. Our flight took off on time and it was an uneventful and smooth trip to Don Meuang Airport in Bangkok. Air Asia flights no longer arrive into Bangkok’s major international airport but have taken over the old Don Meuang airport. We were booked to stay at the Amari Don Muang after getting a bargain deal online. It was a good decision as it was just a five minute walk across the sky walkway over the highway. The hotel was very comfy and we ordered room service at a very reasonable price. Early flight tomorrow to Mandalay.
