Edit Blog Post

We have been away for 6 weeks, although it feels about 6 months...(not complaining, thats a good thing!)
We thought we better start the blog now as we were starting to forget things that happened in week 1/2 so this is for our benefit really....Joking!!

Will just give a quick rundown of where we have been, what we have eaten and the origin of jennys many injuries so far...

Bangkok***

Stayed there for 5 nights in a lovely hotel just off Khao San Road.

Bangkok is CRAZZZZZZZZZY!!!They are all a bunch of chancers and must have seen us coming with our Scottish summer tans!We eventually got round to seeing the sights on the 3rd day(thanks to a pool party and Smirnoff blue!) First on the list was the Grand Palace. It has a wall all the way around so you have to go through the gated entrance...5 times we tried to get through that damn gate....everytime we were nearly there, some chancer would stop and give us a variety of reasons why we couldnt get in....''eeet eees only open for thai people jus now!!"...."you have your shoulders out!"...."you have your ankles out".....!!!ok, you can't type a Thai accent...its all French! But we could get in, only after we tuk tuk'd across the city to a recommended(by one of the chancers!)temple that was open for non thai people w shoulders and ankles on display.....well, it was pretty pants and then came the stinger...the tuk tuk then wants to take us to a suit shop!!(they all want to take you to a suit shop, and then badger you into buying one!!)We told him no, and basically he abandoned us at the crap temple because we wouldn't go...they must get amazing commission

anyway, when we did get in it was impressive, a bit too spangly for my liking though!

We did a tour one day in a tin can minibus w 6 other people, the heat in Bangkok is unreal so it was a long and sticky journey!!Euuughh! We went to a floating market, the bridge over the river Kwai and the dodgy, much discussed tiger temple where Jenny chased the tiger and the monk up the hill in a safari outfit.

Chiang Mai*****

Flew up north to lovely Chiang Mai, delighted to leave crazy bangers!!We did our jungle trek here which has been the highlight of our trip so far, and also where Jennys injury list began....1 right leg through some poor jungle tribes bamboo roof...1 bloody finger, numerous giant scratches on leg! We came across a gorgeous waterfall and had a trek w the elephants(I managed to get myself off the crate that you sit on, and slide onto the elephants neck for half of it, was so cool!)

The next two days we recovered from the trek...we could hardly walk!!So unfit! My legs were like lead!!!

Then we went to Vietnam.....
