A little bit late, but wanted to upload the video clip.... We had always intended using Bangkok as a bit of a gateway into SE Asia - it has a good airport, loads of flight connections and reasonably priced airfares, decent hotels to recharge in and to plan the next steps, loads of western stores and brands if you need to get anything, decent medical centers if necessary, and all the embassies you need for visas.
Well that is exactly what we did - had to spend a couple of days here to get a visa for Vietnam but could also work out that we'll go to Cambodia and Laos first. Hotel worked out well and managed to get to the Big Fight Night for Thai boxing in the Lumpini boxing stadium, that was well worth it. Flying from here to Siem Riep in Cambodia next.

Times are tough when normal alcohol just won't cut it - why not save a few bahts and buy a bottle of this instead?
