Overslept missing checkout time by half hr - sweet talked receptionist for extra 1/2 hr to freshen up knowin the journey to come later.
Visited Siam Square - The New York of Bangkok - naturally had McDonalds - to soak up the 'fuzziness'.
7.40pm - overnight train to Chiang Mai.
Head down at 11 on top bunks.
