Our time in Bangkok

Hey!
We've had pretty hectic first couple of days here in Thailand, starting of with getting on the wrong bus at the airport and ending up in the middle of knowhere! We finally got to our guesthouse - the Cozy Bangkok Place - with the help of a friendly bus conductor. It turned out to be in a trully Thai area of Bangkok, with lots of dogs and people sitting outside selling things from their front rooms.

We've done all the big sights - the Grand Palace, temple of the emerald buddha and wat pho, which has the reclining buddha - got pretty scared on a tuk-tuk and had our first Thai food, even surviving eating fruit (including some dragonfruit) and ice! We also stumbled upon a thai cultural show so saw some traditional dancing and music.

We're off to get the sleeper train to Chiang Mai this evening, so will keep you posted on what we get up to there...
